| Yes I suppose you can do that...
but if you are on a mac, in whatever browser or text edit/word, if you go "edit" and the very bottom one says "special characters" you click that and it has a bunch of symbols! Just go through the categories and pick one, then click in the text box and press "insert"
Or you can just press the option key + ___ whatever and see what you get! xD
Like option + x = ≈
option + z = Ω
and so on.
In the special characters palette, there is a snowman!
